At the Tybout House no one is paid to work in the shop and no one expects to gain any profit. They just want to share their love of fiber with the community. With a donation from all the “founding members” and our silent partners, the women went out and talked to yarn shop owners who had recently closed and offered to buy their remaining inventory. Once the original donation was used up the group had thousands of skeins of yarn in various colors and brands. We also have hundreds of knitting needles, crochet hooks and other accessories. The sale of these fiber related items will allow the shop to buy supplies that local fiber artists need or request and provide classes and clubs for the fiber enthusiasts of the area.
